MORE ABOUT THE EVENT: Cambodia and China have a long and complex relationship, from ancient cultural, diplomatic and trade ties, through China's support of the Khmer Rouge, to Cambodia now being a reliable ally of China's in ASEAN, and a vital strategic part of China's Belt and Road Initiative in Southeast Asia.
