2008, the wbk Institute of Production Science of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) founded GAMI after years of experience in industry and research projects in China. Ever since, GAMI strengthened its competencies in global production and built up manufacturing knowledge. Today, it offers consulting and training services for international partners in China in the competence fields of supplier development, quality management, production and supply chain management. These fundamentals remain of paramount importance for an efficient value creation. The digitalization of the production and the value chain in the context of smart manufacturing offers enormous potential, which we are happy to unlock with our partners and customers. Furthermore, we serve as an incubator for other KIT activities in China under the roof of the KIT China Branch. The past few months have once again been a driver for advancing digitalization, along with all its benefits and challenges. Hybrid formats, online and offline, are likely to become an integral part of the working environment. We have also been able to include these concepts in our training portfolio. Alongside digitalization, the topic of sustainability is one of the defining megatrends. We are pleased to be building up important competencies and contacts over the next few years with the TRENT research project and to further expand our product portfolio. Fittingly, we are working together with the wbk Institute of Production Science on the roll out of a new, intelligent remanufacturing line to offer our partners exclusive insights into the latest research activities in the field of "sustainability in production".
